Fred A. Truglio

Fred A. Truglio is the founding partner of the Truglio Law Offices, in his 28 years as a trial lawyer he has won a number of million and multimillion verdicts and settlements for his clients, victims of serious personal injuries or wrongful death due to negligence, medical malpractice, products liability and workplace injuries.

Fred received his undergraduate degree in business from Adelphi University in New York. Following graduation Fred pursued his legal studies at the John Marshall Law School and received his Juris Doctor degree with Honors in 1984, graduating 8th out of a class of over 350 students. While at the John Marshall Law School, Fred served as the Chief Justice of their Moot Court Program. He won several honors for interscholastic moot court competitions, including being named as the top oral advocate in an Illinois Statewide competition. He was inducted into the Order of the John Marshall Honors Society for academic excellence and into the Gavel Society legal service organization.

Fred was selected and began his legal career as law clerk to the Honorable Philip G Reinhard of the Illinois Appellate court for the Second District where he spent two years assisting the Court in the preparation of numerous appellate case decisions.

Since leaving his position with the appellate court, Fred has been engaged in private practice providing legal representation to the serious and fatally injured who have been the victims of car and truck accidents, dangerous products, medical malpractice, police brutality and workplace injuries. He has recovered tens of millions of dollars for his clients over the years.

Fred is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the Illinois State Bar Association and was recently named to the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a prestigious legal organization which is limited to the top trial lawyers in America. He has been admitted to practice In the State of Illinois, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois , the Federal Trial Bar, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin. With the assistance of local counsel he has handled cases throughout the United States including New York, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Texas, Missouri, Iowa, Arkansas and California.
